Intelligent Digital Disk Recorders

The Grass Valley® T2™ iDDR is a next-generation intelligent digital disk recorder (iDDR) and player that combines advanced nonlinear production features with VTR-like controls, and supports a variety of SD and HD formats. T2 is packaged in Express, Pro, and Elite versions to provide different capabilities and a choice of storage types: RAID-0 or RAID-10 hard disks, or solid-state drives providing incredible cost efficiency and operational flexibility..

Effortless Integration. Superior Performance.
T2 easily fits right in—whether in a studio, edit suite, or in a touring case. Operators experience superb quality recording and playout with easy-to-use, intuitive controls, and many powerful features which make transport functions, clip selection, and marking media extremely easy. T2 supports broadcast MXF format files, can directly play out from XDCAM files, and crossconvert HD to HD in real-time. T2 can be controlled via the built-in touchscreen or an external monitor and mouse. Because T2 provides comprehensive audio and video connectivity to all professional AV equipment, it is a smart choice for integrating into any production.

Durable Construction. Reliable Operation.
T2 is engineered to stay cool under pressure, with air flow paths from front to rear for high density rack mounted applications. This is combined with heavy duty frame construction, an easy access drive panel, and rugged interfaces. T2 is always ready for the next tough job—just rack it, stack it, and ship it...with the confidence of knowing that Grass Valley reliability and durability are there all the way.

Synchronized Simplicity. Stunning Results.
When it comes to mastering complex playback applications, nothing comes close to T2's workflow. T2's interoperability means it has a diverse range of application uses. Content from one T2 can be easily synchronized across multiple T2 units, for digital signage applications or mission-critical redundancy. Playlists created in one T2 can be exported and imported to other T2s, keeping content, settings, and effects intact. With 3D now extending into all avenues of communication, T2 is the easiest way to sync 3D. The T2's two output channels can be locked to form one 3D channel, so presentations literally leap from the screen.
